Meet in Montana

Association schedules National Angus Conference
and Tour Sept 15-17.

Mark your calendar and make plans now to attend the 2010 National Angus Conference & Tour (NAC&T) Sept. 15-17 in Bozeman, Mont. The American Angus Association is planning the event in conjunction with the South Montana Angus Association, and Purina Mills LLC is a major partner in this year's event.

A welcome reception will kick off the event Tuesday, Sept. 14; and the Conference begins Wednesday morning, Sept. 15, at the Best Western GranTree Inn in Bozeman. A slate of industry experts will address the opportunities and challenges facing today's beef producers. The tour will begin later in the day with an evening meal at KG Ranch, Three Forks.

Two full days of tours are planned in the region on Thursday and Friday. Stops include Hyline Angus, Bozeman; Armstrong Angus Ranch, Cardwell; Wheeler Mountain Ranch, Whitehall; Split Diamond Ranch, Whitehall; Van Dyke Angus Ranch; Manhattan; the Montana State University Animal Bioscience Lab, Bozeman; Leachman Angus Ranch, Toston; and Sitz Angus Ranch, Harrison. In addition, several other producers will be displaying cattle at the scheduled stops.

Registration is just $125 if received by Aug. 13 ($150 after) and includes bus transportation, meals and materials. Attendees should make their own hotel reservations. The GranTree is the headquarters, and can be reached at 406-587-5261. Ask for the Angus block 804948. Other hotels with Angus room blocks near the headquarters include the Holiday Inn, 406-587-4561, and the Days Inn & Suites, 406-587-5251.

Watch for more information online at www.angus.org and in the Angus Journal in coming months or contact the Activities and Events Department at 816-383-5100.
