AngusSource® Calves in Spotlight
AngusSource® calves to be highlighted at Superior Livestock Auction sale.
If you are planning to sell your Angus-sired calves through Superior Livestock Auction's "Week In The Rockies XXII" sale, you can increase the visibility of your calves and draw attention to the value added through the program by enrolling them in the AngusSource age-, source- and genetic-verification program.
"Week In The Rockies XXII" will be July 5-9 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. The American Angus Association and Superior Livestock have teamed up to add visibility to AngusSource calves in the sale:
• All AngusSource lots will be identified in the sale book with the AngusSource logo.
• The AngusSource logo will appear on screen when calves enrolled in AngusSource are selling.
• To make it easier for interested buyers to locate the AngusSource calves, the sale book will include a one-page index listing each lot of AngusSource calves.
• A link from the www.superiorlivestock.com will take buyers to a landing page with video files of all AngusSource calves, as well as details and estimated sale times. A video message from American Angus Association regional manager Logan Ipsen will explain the value of calves enrolled in AngusSource.
• You will have the opportunity to customize your Verification Certificate to include additional management and vaccination information. Once completed, it will be posted online and sent to more than 600 interested buyers, letting them know your calves are selling on Superior Livestock Auction.
• AngusSource and Certified Angus Beef LLC (CAB) are sponsoring a lunch of CAB® brand Pot Roast.
• AngusSource and CAB staff will have a booth onsite and be present to answer any questions and to provide Verification Certificates for all AngusSource calves selling that week.
To take advantage of this marketing opportunity, producers must enroll their calves in AngusSource. You can begin enrollment by visiting www.angussource.com or contacting AngusSource at 816-383-5100. Enrollment must be complete prior to sale day in order for calves to sell as AngusSource consignments.
