• Selection Tool for Feed Efficiency Now Available (Oct. 5) — The American Angus Association has released the residual average daily gain expected progeny difference (RADG EPD).
• Saddle and Sirloin Club to Honor Col. Ray Sims (Sept. 28) — Respond by Oct. 20 to join Angus breeders and others as they honor the legendary auctioneer for his contributions to the cattle business.
• National Western Stock Show Names Marshall Ernst as Livestock Manager (Sept. 24) — Marshall Ernst of Windsor, Colo., has been named Livestock Manager at National Western Stock Show.

• American Angus Auxiliary to Meet in Louisville (Sept. 22) — American Angus Auxiliary will once again host its annual meeting and activities in conjunction with the 2010 NAILE

• CAB feedlot program enrolls 2 million (Oct.11) — The Certified Angus Beef LLC (CAB) supply development team recently reached that mark with its Feedlot-Licensing Program (FLP) enrollments.
• 2010 Annual CAB Conference (Oct.) — CAB Conference winners featured
• Feeding Quality Forum registration opens (Oct. 4) — Beef markets and premiums, low stress and food morality. This isn't the makings of a tough riddle. It's a sampling of the featured topics at the fifth annual Feeding Quality Forums set for Nov. 9 in Grand Island, Neb., and Nov. 11 in Amarillo, Texas.
• Engler honored by Feeding Quality Forums (Sept. 27) — Paul Engler, Cactus Feeders, was one of the first people to see the feeding potential in Texas. He was one of the first to develop value-based grid marketing. And now he is the inaugural recipient of the Industry Achievement Award, given in conjunction with the Feeding Quality Forums.
