• Photos Displayed on EPD/Pedigree Search (March 15) — A new option displays photos of animals on their electronic pedigree obtained through an EPD/Pedigree search.
• Secretary Vilsack Outlines New Trade Strategy to Increase Ag Exports (March 8) — During a keynote speech at the 2010 Commodity Classic in Anaheim, Calif., Friday, March 5, Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack laid out USDA's plans to increase exports of agricultural products and strengthen the American agriculture economy.
• Longtime API Leader to Retire (March 8) — Angus Productions Inc.'s Cheryl Oxley announces retirement after more than three decades.
• Angus EPD/Pedigree Search Features New Option (Feb. 23) — The Association has introduced a graph of EPD percentile breakdowns in addition to pedigrees and available expected progeny differences (EPDs) through the EPD/Pedigree Search.
• Applied Repro Coverage Available Online (Feb. 23) — Angus Productions Inc. (API) provides complete online coverage of the annual Applied Reproductive Strategies in Beef Cattle workshop.
• Angus Genetics Inc.® Now Accepting Samples for High-Accuracy Genomic Profile (Feb. 12) — AGI is now processing samples for the new high-accuracy Igenity® profile for Angus.
• Cattlemen's Boot Camp Planned for Virginia (Jan. 10) — The Association and Virginia Tech will host a Cattlemen's Boot Camp May 21-22 at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.

• Quality Beef Admired from Montana to Miami (March 11) — Ranchers visit about top-notch beef with celebrity chefs.
• Nominations Sought for CAB Awards (March 11) — Nominations for CAB's Commitment to Excellence awards, due May 1, should contain the producer name and contact information, type and size of operation, number of years postweaning data has been gathered, years linked to nominator's operation, and years involved with any specified CAB projects.
• Manage with Leadership from Pasture to Plate — Chef shares culinary insights with cattlemen. Chef John Doherty, who was the youngest executive chef at New York City's esteemed Waldorf=Astoria, has cooked for more presidents and dignitaries than any other chef in the United States.
• CAB Premiums Reach $300 Million (March 1) — Cumulative grid premium rewards for hitting the Certified Angus Beef ® (CAB®) brand target stood at nearly $300 million at the end of last year, and they keep growing at an annual rate of about $25 million paid to producers.
• Silver in the Bank (Feb. 26) — Longtime CAB partner McPherson County Feeders reaches landmark quality level.
• Come Taste the Passion (Feb. 24) — CAB-licensed restaurant reveals recipe behind national award.
• Southeastern calves still improving (Feb. 18) — For decades, cattle from the southeastern U.S. have sold at a discount compared to cattle from the Midwest. Data says they deserve better, according to a beef cattle specialist with Certified Angus Beef LLC. In February, Gary Fike presented on feedlot performance and carcass traits at the Southern Section meetings of the American Society of Animal Science in Orlando, Fla.
