Feed-grade inflammation management
R&D LifeSciences LLC has announced the introduction of ReNuvigen™, a feed-grade inflammation management product. Organic technology for sludge treatment
A new all-natural and organic technology called BiOWiSH™ has been introduced as a method for livestock waste management. It effectively breaks down waste matter comprised of fats, proteins, carbohydrates and cellulose, and is suitable for use in most manure treatment systems.
The product rapidly digests sludge, manages nutrient discharge and reduces odor from manure lagoons, according to the company. It is easy to apply and is adaptable to any existing farm infrastructure. It is 100% natural, biodegradable, nontoxic and chemical-free.

Livestock markers

Multifunction bench scale

New seed treatment
Biagro Western has developed Take Off ST, a seed treatment that the company says benefits crops by increasing early nutrient acquisition; increasing crop emergence; increasing stand uniformity; increasing root mass; and improving stress tolerance.
Primarily for cereals, oil crops, sugar crops, cotton and forage crops, the treatment has been used extensively on wheat in Europe, and has been successfully tested in field trials in barley, canola and corn.
The new treatment builds on the company's Take Off, a metabolic signaling compound originally developed at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico. Seed treatments generally mitigate stresses that occur once seed is planted, and, the company says, use rates at just one quart per ton of seed make the treatment economical.

The DNA product is designed specifically for cow-calf producers and provides cost-effective analyses of these five economically important traits: fertility, maternal calving ease, average daily gain (ADG), percent Choice and tenderness.
Producers can choose from multiple types of DNA sampling procedures based on their individual operation or working facilities, and, once they receive their results, the custom-sort software from the company can help sort and rank their animals based on the traits that are most important to them.

Feed supplement acquisition
PerforMix Nutrition Systems LLC has announced the acquisition of Provender Nutrition Resources LLC. PerforMix, an Agri Beef company, is a manufacturer of liquid feed supplements for livestock and has been a provider of nutritional products and services to the beef and dairy industries for more than 25 years, with locations in Nampa, Idaho, and Moses Lake, Wash. Provender is a manufacturer of dry supplements for livestock located in Fruitland, Idaho. Business will continue under both business names using existing staff.
The joining of the two companies will increase the geographic sales area, expand livestock species offerings, and add distribution channels for existing and new product offerings. Further synergies will also include the combination of sales, service, field and consulting staffs; as well as consolidated purchasing, maintenance, logistics and business operations.
Explosion-proof lights for hazardous areas
Larson Electronics has introduced new high-efficiency explosion-proof fluorescent lights to complement its expanding line of Class 1 and Class 2 LED lighting for hazardous location areas.
Available in 2-foot (ft.) and 4-ft. lengths, the lights use biaxial compact fluorescent bulbs that deliver higher output than traditional T-series tube bulbs. A variety of Class 1, Division 1 and Class 2, Division 1 lights are available for light use, for high-vibration hazardous locations and in stainless steel for corrosive hazardous locations.
The lights are made in the U.S. and models are available for permanent installation or for heavy-duty portable use.
