Pistol-grip syringe

Cowboy 50cc pistol-grip syringeSyrvet Inc. has announced the Cowboy™ 50cc pistol-grip syringe for use by veterinarians, technicians, farmers and breeders. The syringe is constructed with a strong plastic polymer and is ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable, lightweight feel with long-lasting durability, which means it shouldn't discolor with use or age. The easy-to-use dosage selection system enables adjustable and precise dosages from 1cc to 5cc. The syringe comes complete with needle adapter that can be used in conjunction with most disposable or reusable needles.

Hydraulic hitch

MBW has introduced the ProTrakker 400DX Hydraulic Hitch with a two-point attachment for owners of two-point implements. The hitch automatically adjusts to steer pull-type implements on slopes, contour rows and variable soils. It works to keep implements from swaying into crop rows and causing expensive damage — plus, your tidy rows will be the envy of neighboring farms.

The 400DX, rated for tractors up to 400 hp, rounds out the ProTrakker lineup, which is available in various configurations to fit most tractors.

A unique benefit of the 400DX is its ability to transform from a two-point hitch to a standard drawbar in a few minutes. Like all ProTrakker models, it's compatible with the leading GPS implement guidance systems on planters, strip-till machines and many other precision applications, including John Deere iSteer™ and Trimble TrueTracker. It can also be controlled by MBW's in-cab control box.

The company says its customers practically eliminate crop damage from tracking, eliminate application overlap, reduce all fatigue caused by tracking and improve repeatability. For more information visit www.protrakker.com.

Redesigned mixer

Kuhn North America has introduced the Kuhn Knight RC200 Series Mixers — fully redesigned to provide superior durability and performance, with new advanced options that separate them from the competition. For dairy and beef producers mixing rations with high percentages of roughages or distillers' grains, the new design gives them the ability to efficiently handle a wide range of materials.

The all-new, open-concept Helix Reel option provides faster, more consistent mixing and improved load leveling with any ration. It allows the operator to work more efficiently and move on to the next batch of feed faster, as a result of quicker unloading and a more complete cleanout. The heavy-duty drive option offers extended life, even in the most extreme use cycles, and gives producers the ability to mix the heaviest feedstuffs.

With truck, trailer and stationary models, and mixing capacities of 500-950 cubic feet (cu. ft.), the company says there's a machine to fit every feeding situation.

Small wheel loaders

Caterpillar has announced the redesign of the Cat® K Series Small Wheel Loaders — 924K, 930K and 938K — incorporating new engines that meet stage 3B/Tier 4 interim emissions standards and with significant new features that deliver enhanced performance, fuel efficiency and operator comfort. Among the new features are an efficient, electronically controlled hydrostatic drive system, new optimized Z-bar loader linkage, a refined operator's station and a choice of couplers and buckets for best matching the machine to the application. Predecessor models (924H, 924Hz, 930H, 938H and IT938H) will be available in markets having lesser fuel quality and less-stringent emissions standards.

The Cat C6.6 Acert™ engine powers the three wheel loaders and works efficiently with the machines to deliver fuel savings up to 30%, compared with H-Series models. Emissions-control technology includes a diesel particulate filter that automatically regenerates (burns away collected particulates) without interrupting normal operation. The engine's rated speed setting of 1,800 rpm, compared with 2,415 rpm for the H-Series, contributes significantly to reduced fuel consumption, lowered sound levels and reduced wear. An engine-idle shutdown system further reduces fuel consumption.

K-Series models are equipped with a stepless, four-range, hydrostatic drive system that allows independent control of ground speed and engine speed for efficient operation of hydraulically powered work tools. A new creeper-control feature further improves low speed operations by allowing the operator to adjust maximum ground speed down to 1 mph. An operator-controlled rimpull control system helps reduce wheel spin and consequent tire wear, and a front differential lock enhances traction.

An all-new operator's station features automatic temperature control, curved front windshield, heated rear window with intermittent wiper and a soft touch control panel. The electronic joystick for implement control is seat-mounted, adjustable and incorporates integral controls for auxiliary hydraulics, directional shifting and differential lock. In-cab sound levels are reduced to 66 dB (A), down from 74 dB (A) in the H-Series models.

Kick-out functions for boom lift, boom lower and tilt are standard and easily programmable by pushing and holding a button on the soft touch panel. An electronic parking brake simplifies operation, and an optional secondary display shows vital machine information graphically and digitally, as well as machine diagnostics. The display works in conjunction with the soft touch panel to provide real time adjustments for third function flow, throttle back, rimpull control, and creeper control. The display also serves as a display for an optional rear-view camera system. Heated and cooled seats are available for optimal operator comfort.

Feed additive

Kent Feeds has introduced BoVantage™ additive, a synergistic blend of natural ingredients, organic acids, vitamins and complex trace minerals. The nutrient-dense mixture supplies anti-oxidants, natural chelating agents and contains prebiotics.
When fed at the recommended levels, the company says the feed additive can promote a healthy rumen environment, support the growth of beneficial bacteria, help combat stress, provide immune system support and aid in nutrient availability and digestion.
The new technology is available in a variety of the company's products.

Manure spreader

Model 1200 75-bushel manure spreaderCountry Manufacturing Inc. (CMI) has introduced the Model 1200 75-bushel (bu.) manure spreader.

Any 18 hp or larger utility tractor is acceptable for pulling the spreader. The large wheels provide the necessary traction to drive the beater and drag chain, even in snow and mud. CMI says the unique double beater bar enables excellent spreading action while being fed by the continuous motion drag chain.

The spreader features a heavy structural steel angle iron frame; long life pressure-treated floor and side boards that can be easily removed for user flexibility; individual rope clutching, one for the beater and one for the drag chain; 70 cu. ft. heap capacity (75+ bu. or 10-15 wheelbarrow loads); and guides built in to accept the removable end gate that eliminates rear spillage during transport. The load bed is 84 in. long ✕ 40 in. wide ✕ 21 in. high, with an overall length of approximately 120 in. long ✕ 62 in. wide.
