New Products
Upgraded loader
JCB has comprehensively upgraded its 1CX product, the smallest member of its backhoe loader family, with a revised cab roof trim, improved working lights and sturdy electrical switchgear. The new optional loader arms are 4 inches (in.) longer to provide easier loading of site dump trucks.
At the rear, an extending dipper option adds up to 20 in. to the digging envelope, taking maximum dig depth to 10 ft. This allows easier loadover of trucks, with the backhoe easily able to reach the center of the dump truck. A new power management system (PMS) improves performance, reducing engine lug down as the machine starts to dig and increasing power when driving into a pile with the front bucket.
Optional servo controls for the backhoe provide the operator with greater control and less effort, with no need to lean forward when working the rear excavator. Removal of the control-lever post creates more space for the operator, particularly around the feet. Customers can choose between either SAE or ISO control patterns by using the optional changeover switch.
Inside the cab an improved seat offers 2 in. of additional legroom, making it easier for the operator to get comfortable and to spin the seat for backhoe operation, according to the release. Auxiliary functions can now be controlled by optional proportional switches in the servo levers rather than by the foot panel, offering more precise control and less fatigue for the operator.

High-capacity loadall
JCB has added the high-capacity 550-80 Agri Plus Loadall to its agricultural telescopic handler line. The loadall has been designed for heavy-duty farm applications, including digging manure or silage and loading the manure spreader or feed wagon. The 550-80 features an 11,000-lb. lift capacity with a lift height of 26 ft. 7 in.; a 130-hp JCB Dieselmax engine; a 37 gpm variable flow hydraulics and hi-flow pipework for faster loader cycle times and auxiliary service performance; and a heavy-duty boom designed to provide 14,600 lb. of breakout force.
With servo controls standard, operators benefit from low joystick lever efforts and excellent ergonomics. In heavy-duty digging applications the loadall incorporates a Z-bar bucket linkage that increases by more than 50% the breakout force of the current 541 model. The low boom line also contributes to excellent all-round visibility.

Enhanced performance welding helmet
The new Thermadyne Tweco® WeldSkill® auto-darkening welding helmet features four sensors for enhanced performance, can be used in both weld mode and grind mode, and will darken during TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding even at 5 amps.
The helmet has a large viewing area of 3.86 in. ✕ 1.69 in., weighs 16 oz., uses solar power, meets the latest ANSI safety standards and offers all features at an affordable price, according to the release.
The company placed the sensitivity and delay knobs on the outside of the helmet shell so that operators can make adjustments while welding. When setting the helmet down, a recessed lens design prevents the faceplate from touching the table, protecting it from scratches.
The helmet is backed by the company's two-year warranty and comes in four popular styles, including Carbon Fiber, Patriot Eagle, Chopper Rider or Skull & Fire.
