Hanen automatic cattle feeder Model LSF-12
Service Line Inc. announces increased functionality of the Hanen Model LSF-12 Automatic Solar-Powered Cattle Feeder designed for feeding 12 cattle. The basic platform can now operate as a master power unit capable of driving additional feed hoppers.

Hanen automatic cattle feeder

The programmable cattle feeder is designed to dispense the correct levels of nutrition to livestock, providing up to six feedings per day. Unlike a creep feeder, the Hanen automatic cattle feeder feeding cycle is totally programmable, and animals respond to an audio signal.

This model is engineered for working ranchers looking for reduced labor costs, reduced feed waste, programmed grain rationing, enhanced nutrition, and more free time for other activities. Easily connect two LSF-12 systems to feed 24 cattle. Additional benefits of the solar-powered model include remote unattended feeding and reduced energy costs.

New options include a frame kit for increased stability when connecting multiple hoppers, and a farm-rated trailer kit with wheels for mobility.

Also available in AC-powered configurations intended for indoor use, the feeders are manufactured in the United States, constructed of heavy-gauge steel and are 100% powder-coated for extreme conditions.

More information, including a video that shows cattle responding to the audio signal and eating from the feeder, can be found at http://bit.ly/HanenFeeder.

Case compact wheel loaders upgraded
Case Construction Equipment has upgraded its F Series compact wheel loader lineup with new adjustable electro-hydraulic controls. This added functionality allows operators to adjust the responsiveness of the lift and tilt bucket functions for improved control and efficiency on the jobsite.

CASE F Series compact wheel loader

Lift and tilt settings can now be adjusted with two new three-way rocker switches (high, medium, low) mounted on the side console, allowing operators to adjust the responsiveness of the loader lift arms independently of the attachment tilt functions.

The new electro-hydraulic controls offer automated bucket metering functionality, providing operators more precise and consistent movement of the bucket edge while metering or sifting material into a truck or feed wagon.

A new E-inching pedal uses an electronically controlled inching valve to provide greater response and more control in applications where the operator requires precise movements at slow speeds. The pedal has been ergonomically positioned for improved operator comfort.

CASE Construction Equipment’s F Series compact wheel loaders provide operators with more reach, lift capacity, visibility and comfort compared to other light equipment. The F Series compact wheel loaders feature CASE’s proven maintenance-free Tier 4 Final solution that requires no regeneration or related downtime. A compact frame and articulating rear axle provide stable lifting strength of more than 8,300 lb. at full height.

Improved Vita Charge Gel Products
BioZyme Inc.'s paste products that help animals with digestive upset and keep them on feed and water are now water-based gel formulas. The new gels have an improved consistency, are easier to administer than the previous pastes and have increased palatability, according to Blaine Rodgers, BioZyme show livestock business development and field support.

The water-based gels should glide out the tubes with more ease than the pastes, and they are designed to withstand temperature up to 212° F. All gels contain Amaferm®, a precision-based prebiotic research-proven to impact intake, feed digestibility and nutrient absorption to help combat stress and support the animal’s own immune system.

Two gels are for all livestock species and designed to help animals recover in times of high stress. The new Vita Charge® Gel, formerly Vita Charge Paste, still contains the same ingredient profile as its predecessor. In addition, carrot powder has been added for palatability and color. Vita Charge Gel comes in 80- and 300-mL tubes.

The Vita Charge Gel administered for a few days after transport and stress should help stimulate appetite and keep animals on track to eat and drink.

Vita Charge Climate Control, available in an 80-mL tube, is formulated the same as the Sure Champ® Climate Control Paste, with an added blue vegetable powder for color. The Climate Control Gel is best used in livestock experiencing extreme shifts in temperature, as both contain Amaferm and plant extracts that are research-proven to help animals maintain normal body temperature.

The Vitalize Equine Recovery Paste product, a 3-in-1 formula to get horses back on their feet after trauma, illness, hauling, performance or stress, is now a water-based gel formula. It contains the same ingredient profile as the previous paste and includes Amaferm, vitamins, organic minerals, amino acids and antioxidants, as well as MOS to sequester bad pathogens in the gut. The new addition to the gel is carrot powder for improved palatability and color.

The gel still comes in a 30-mL tube and is recommended to be administered twice daily at the first sign of colic, and before or after hauling, competition, surgery, worming and vaccinations, illness or stress.
